Biography
Mehdi Mirzaei was a 23-year-old barber originally from Arak who lived in Tehran and was the sole provider for his mother. He was killed on January 8, 2026, after being shot in the heart. Despite heavy pressure and threats from security agencies to falsely label him a 'Basiji' member, his mother refused to comply and stood by the truth of his identity.
مهدی میرزایی، آرایشگر ۲۳ ساله اهل اراک و ساکن تهران، تنها فرزند و سرپرست مادرش بود که در ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ با شلیک گلوله به قلبش کشته شد. پس از مرگ او، نهادهای امنیتی خانوادهاش را تحت فشار قرار دادند تا او را به دروغ «بسیجی» معرفی کنند، اما مادر وی با وجود تهدیدها از تحریف هویت واقعی فرزندش خودداری کرد.
